CHARLENE & STEFAN – 5 April 2013 – Rhebokskloof

Wat ‘n voorreg om deel te wees van ‘n troue soos die van Charlene en Stefan.  God se teenwoordigheid was so tasbaar en ‘n seëning vir elke mens daar.  Ons weet die toekoms gaan nog baie seëninge vir julle twee inhou.  Baie baie dankie dat ons ‘n deel van julle pragtige dag kon wees.

KAREN & DAMIAN – 8 December 2012 – Monchique, Hout bay

A perfect summers day filled with fun, laughter and love.  Karen looked amazing on her wedding day and an absolute joy to photograph.  You where lots of fun!  May you have a very blessed festive season.

KAREN & WAYNE – 10 August 2012 – Houhoek

Karen & Wayne’s day was just perfect.  The weather on the days leading up to there wedding was typical Western Capewinter weather and the forecast didn’t look good.   On our way to the wedding we where hoping for some sun and what a lovely surprise once we got to Houhoek.  Yes a lovely sunny winters day.  Winter weddings are so pretty and Karen was such a beautiful and bubbly bride.  Karen thank you, for making us feel like we’ve know you for ever.   You are 2 very special people,  my you have a long and Blessed marriage.   A big thank you to Adri Meyer for assisting, lots of fun working with you.

CLARISA & ANTON – 05.05.2012 – Kleinevalleij

Wat ‘n mooi tyd van die jaar is herfs troues. Clarisa en Anton se troue was net so ‘n perfekte prentjie van hulle liefde vir mekaar.   Uit die emosionele toesprake kon mense ook sien hoe belangrik familie en vriende vir hulle is.  Dit was vir ons nie net ‘n groot voorreg om die dag met julle te deel nie, maar ook so lekker.  Kleinevalleij is natuurlik ‘n fotograaf se droom en het ons werk soveel makliker gemaak.  Alle voorspoed met julle lewe saam en mag dit oorloop van God seen. Gaan kyk gerus na ook  Wyand van Wyk (http://www.whitelines.co.za/) se mooi video voorsmaak van hulle dag.

ADRI & REIMER – 10.12.2011 – Morgansvlei

 Adri and Reimers wedding was perfect.  Morgansvlei is  a stunning venue, the cloudy sky, with moments of sunshine in between, great for photos and a lovely, lovely couple.  Adri and Reimer, you not only made our work so enjoyable on the day, but were great fun and kept us laughing.   Thank you also to both your families for making us feel like we where part of the family.  May you have endless blessings in you life together.  Alitha & Pinnie .

Jean, Luke en Misha

Vroeg oggend fotosessie op ‘n warm somers oggend en een van die min warm dae so ver.   Dankie vir ‘n baie lekker fun fotosessie.  Julle is so ‘n pragtige gesin.  Geniet elke oomblik van julle vakansie.

Nicah & Marcel – Location

Ek het vir Mariska en haar twee pragtige kinders al ‘n hele paar keer afgeneem en geniet my fotosessie met hulle altyd so baie.  Julle is so ‘n pragtige gesin en nou is daar nog ‘n boetie oppad, wat hierdie week sy opwagting maak.  Ek kan nie wag om hom te ontmoet nie en sien vreeslik uit na sy fotosessie nie.   Sterkte met die laaste paar dae.   

Baby Schalk – 7 days

I have so much admiration for parents who come to my studio when their babies are so young.  I’m also thankful, because they are great to work with when they are so sleepy.  Schalk was just amazing and I wanted to keep him here all day. 

Coetzer family – location

I really love locations shoots, because there are so much more to work with and little children have more freedom than in a studio. The weather is the only factor and on this particular Saturday morning, we had a typical 4 seasons in one day, day. Fortunately for us, it only rained for a couple of minutes and the kids totally enjoyed the dripping rain drops.       

Jean-Pierre Uys Workshop

What a privilege to attend a 2 day wedding workshop hosted by the amazing Jean-Pierre Uys .   Lots of information was shared and we had lots of time putting these new ideas into practice, with great models, lighting, beautifull venue (Vrede en Lust) and stunning make-up.  

 Big thank you to Jean-Pierre for sharing so much and for giving me a new perspective on my photography journey.   Chloe, Candice and Cayla  thank you for braving the cold weather and being such great models, also Helga Strydom  for making them look amazing.

Marguerite 11 days – Newborn

I love tiny little babies.  Marguerite was an unexpected surprise for her parents and 10 year old twin sisters, but a huge blessing.  Such a perfect and peaceful model, doing everything we wanted.  Thanks for having me over taking photos of you gorgeous little girl, also big thank you to Brenda, who assisted me on this shoot (with her brand new Nikon).  

MONIQUE & LOUW – TTD

This is the last in my set of photos, second shooting for Retha (www.darkroom.co.za) during her visit from Dubai end of 2010.   My first trash the dress session and just loved it.  Thank you Retha and also thanks to Louw and Monique for being so daring.

This post is long overdue, since this was a 2010 wedding.  I just somehow never manage to get to blogging this.  I had the wonderful privilege of second shooting 2 weddings (and a Trash the Dress) with the fabulous Retha of www.darkroom.co.za before she got married and now living in Dubai.    

New Website

Changing my website  has been on my mind for a couple of months, but not sure of what I wanted has kept me from going ahead with it.  I finally approached Marlene at Xplore studio www.xplorestudio.co.za with a vague set of likes and dislikes.  Marlene worked with such limited information, but knew exactly what I wanted.  She made this entire experience so effortless (for me) and I can highly recommend her.  Marlene is not only a talented web designer, but a loverly person.  Marlene thank you for making this experience a joy. 

De Wet family – locations shoot

 I just love this family.  I’ve done newborn shoots etc for both these gorgeous girls and it’s such fun seeing them grow-up.   We did this shoot during one of the wettest weeks in the Western Cape and was fortunate to have sunshine on the day.   As always thanks for being such a fun family.

Thomas – Studio

 Thomas is such a loveble little boy and I just love the interaction between him and his mom.

Andrews family – Studio

Yolanda, thank you it was such a delight having your family in my studio.  Lara and little Amy was 2 gorgeous little models even late in the afternoon.  Yolanda’s 2 nephews Connor and Mason visited her from USA and it was so special having photos of them with there grandmother and cousins.  Thank you Andrews family, you where great  .

Baba Meiring – Newborn Studio

Meiring was 10 dae oud toe hy vir sy fotosessie gekom het.  Om newborn babatjies af te neem is soms ’n uitdaging, maak nie saak watter ouderdom nie, selfs die klein slaperige babatjies kan soms vol dinge wees.  Meiring was ‘n ander storie, net eenvoudig die rustigste baba wat ek al ooit afgeneem het.  Du Toit en Karla, julle twee is stunning ouers,  geniet elke oomblik van julle pragtige klein seuntjie. 

Cilliers gesin – Studio

Johan, Marche en hulle 2 pragtige kinders Mila en Danté was ook al ‘n paar maal by my en is net amazingly fotogenies.  Danté was ook so rustig dat mense soms vergeet het dat daar ‘n  baba in die studio is en albei van hulle ‘n fotograaf se droom.  Marche, dankie dat jy so geduldig wag vir jou blog.
